Friends with My Inner Foe

the cold nights have come to go
the starry clouds filled with silver
the truth we find will bring a foe
the past we seek will surely slither

we look to the people we call friends
but avert your eyes to reveal a true soul
with nothing more to make amends
a friend you see is merely a mole

you find yourself not happy today
you think and learn that wrong must be me
Won't you look closer? You surely may
maybe not today or next but you will see

we may seek and find but seek truly you do?
you look upon the once you seeked ago
but the first you seek is like a white doe
once again you look upon your friend foe

Your mind an arrow, your heart a bow
Who will be your next finding foe?
