It's said that a boy and his dog make a wonderful pair,
But for a boy to be friends with an elephant would be something rare.
They'd talk, and they'd walk, and they'd laugh, and they'd play,
And the boy would have someone to lean on at the end of the day.
Wherever the boy goes, the elephant is sure to follow,
To protect him from danger, and scare the enemy with a swallow.
When the boy's in dismay he'll wipe it away,
And the boy will find comfort in this big lump of gray.
No one can lure them away from each other,
For the boy treats the elephant like his big brother.
Their friendship is special: one of a kind.
And when they're together, all the stars seem aligned.
