From Darkness to Light

It is written: when Jesus Christ
the Son of God was born,
the whole world lay in darkness
Jesus said, He was the Light of the world,
but men loved darkness rather than light
Now take a look at this picture,
I tell you something's just not right
You'd rather be stumbling around blindly,
than loving to have yourself some sight
Give me the light,
you can have the dark
Give me a righteous soul,
you keep the evil heart
From the very beginning,
we were born into the Light
The day star always
came before the night
You can take Dante's descent,
I'll take the Icarus flight
I'd rather die trying to move
from the darkness to the SonLight
