From Me to You

I look at you and what do I see
My little girl, a reflection of me
I love you more than words can say
And you'll understand that one soon day
You'll make mistakes and learn a lot
You won't just be the teacher you also get taught
You'll teach forgiveness and learn it too
You've taught me as much as I've taught you
I wish I could give you the best advice
About parenting and love, just about life
There'll be no manual to tell you what to do
You'll laugh and cry and I'll be there for you
Because one day you'll know what I mean
You'll look in her eyes and see what I've seen
And for me, the best part of all of it will be
Watching you love your own just like me

This Poems Story

Being a mom is the greatest thing ever, but watching your children with their kids is even better. My daughter Devny is my best friend, and now she'll get to experience with her daughter what I have with her. I love you, Peanut.
