Front Porch

I'll see ya on the front porch
Where Grandma and Grandpa have coffee time
As they browse through newspapers,
Glasses hanging on the ends of their noses
They chat and yawn and chuckle and smile

I'll see ya on the front porch
Where couples watch the sun go down,
Leaving a painting of smeared colors in its place
They share stories of their day with two glasses of tea
They giggle and smooch and relax and snuggle

I'll see ya on the front porch
Where birds come visit the peaceful haven,
Nibbling at breadcrumbs the children left
After a fun filled lunch on the benches
The birds peck and squabble and chirp and flutter

I'll see ya on the front porch
