Gaining a Kingdom

The bitterness I feel within
comes with age, and is a sin.
Countless times I could do better,
trudging through, a real go-getter.
Hindsight, being what it is,
the quandry becomes the quiz.
Choices I made make me as I am.
Now self-forgiveness is the plan.
This journey takes me back too much,
forgiveness begets the healing touch.
His grace and my faith are all I need.
I accept the peace for which I plead.
