Game of Chance

And so
The vultures came
Having targeted a carcass
Waiting to steal it's name
Another statistic
Slowly dies and fades
Addiction the gun
That blows Him away
A cemetery mind
Empty dreams and scapegoats
Side effects of the poison
He shoves down his throat
Hates what He sees
Rooms with mirrors He evades
Reflection a reminder
Of the price He must pay
A game of chance
He chose to play
A willing participant
To His own decay
The struggle is real
Power shifts and turns
Sparking the internal Apocalypse
Devil's laughing as it burns
