Gaol Mo Chridhe
Gaol mo chridhe, you opened my mind,
Before you so dark, yet you made me shine.
Each day I grew lighter, nightmare tho you were.
With you by my side I was unable to err.
Tha thu mo chridhe, at first I denied this.
I could not be controlled, even by your kindness.
But you were patient, and never stopped trying.
You stood fast by my side, and lulled my crying.
Ulaidh, you were, a diamond in guise.
Surely an omen, with fire in your eyes.
You cut thru my shadows, and fought my depression.
You brightened my life and accepted no concession.
Mo Chridhe, goodbye, I never wanted to say this.
My strong devoted saviour, now my life lays amiss.
For all this time I resisted your light.
Now I fear the shadows that will return with goodbye......

When you lose someone it can be tougher than you can ever imagine. Especially when they are close to your heart.
