Garden of Eve

Eve knew,
She knew she had a body
That was supposed to be treated like a garden,
So she weeded and kept it tidy,
And her roots grew mighty,
And her skin stayed receptive but resilient.
She knew it was a garden,
So she watered it and gave it sunlight,
She treated it with a mindset of growth
And she did not skip the hard things,
Like pruning and hedging,
Because she knew better, the outcomes were better,
Garden of Eve-
With flowers for sleeves and scents
That linger sweeter still,
And hedges grown to keep the
Pesky things away,
And let the beautiful things stay.
Eve knew
Her body was a garden,
So it thrived like one.
