Gardner

I'm a flower.
Petals dried up.
The color's dull.
Confined to a cup;
with all the words he said
as he tore apart the bed.

And I've been sitting here,
awhile.
Bare and broken.
Ready to die.
And I've been sitting here,
since I was a child.
Bare and broken.
Still, ready to die.
