I would take my heart out and give it to you.
I hope it still beats with the same vigor as it did
when my senses recognized your:
and more importantly your eyes,
as they light up to the sight of the
physical representation of my love for you.
Enclosed within the four corners of
a nicely wrapped cardboard box,
because I cannot literally
wrap my love around your heart.
Instead, I put my heart in a box,
so that every time you look at it you see
a tamed version of my feelings for you.
