Gimmick for the Judge, Please
You must have a gimmick to please the judge
That's what competition's about
The rules are really just there to fudge
To see what you can do without
Who needs structure? Rhyme? Or Form?
Such formalities a bore
Everyone's here to ignore the norm
Because that's what norms are for
So screw all that planning, forget those schemes
Just babble until the line break
Write out your hopes, your acid-trip dreams
Imagery for imagery's sake
And include the risqué for bonus points
Better yet ethnicity!
For what judge could bare to move his joints
To write against diversity?
Make sure the judges feel obliged to clap,
Fearing, lest you hold a grudge
Make sure your product's a well baited trap:
A gimmick to snare the judge
