Glorified Self-love

Cheers to the sun that awakens her copper penny eyes.
Sleeps like the dead, she does.
Catching mundane beauties mid sentence.
Predictably unpredictable.
Consistently inconsistent.
See the ray of sun hit her collarbone, let her remind you of recklessness.
Let her show you kindness.

Satin lips mouth lyrics of songs repeated
until the last beat is extracted.
Listening to every distinction is a ritual.
Knowing that you need to understand the parts to appreciate the whole.

Sunlight, sunflowers and handwoven baskets.
Scented with rose water and ivy, she dances through nonexistent fields.

Shy to some,
boisterous to many.
Sugar sweeps through her veins,
pollution sears her lungs.
