Go Where You Dream

Where children laugh and cry
From the ups and downs of the Earth’s smile
In the background, a dream awaits
Just as the abyss of the infinite starry backdrop
Inside the back of a child’s mind
I grew up here from birth,
But I’m always questioning if I’ll make it here
The whole nation used to call out to my Spirit
When I saw the World as much more innocent
I ached to travel everywhere
To see all the lands beyond the horizon
Dream a little dream with me
Down into the deepness of this city
Where generations grew up hand in hand,
Amongst a population tingling with growth,
I saw this sparkling city
In the deepest dreams of wildness
A daydream believer’s wails
Heard in the promise lands of Texas
Where the beautiful trees face destruction,
So I continue to hug the trees out there
To comfort those last ones
Leaving the land aware
That I still Love her
I may dream of blissful escapes,
But the land screams in front of me
The possibilities are endless
