God Gave Me

I want to be more
Than that of which I am
I want to do more
For God gave me two hands
Two hands to lift
The hearts which are weighed
Two hands to sew
Where those hearts have frayed
I want to be more
Than one who tells lies
I want to do more
For God gave me two eyes
Two eyes to see
The souls who are lost
Two eyes to lead
Those souls which are false
I want to be more
Than a set of lose hips
I want to do more
For God gave me lips
Lips to kiss
Those wounded and weak
Lips to say words
For those who can't speak
I want to be more
Than sarcasms blind harms
I want to do more
For God gave me two arms
Two arms to hold
The beaten and broken
Two arms to hug
When words can't be spoken
I want to be more
Be the hope in their eyes
I want to do more
End the bleeding hearts' cries
Once I am more
When I've set myself apart
I'll finally live free
Of my imprisoned heart.
