God

My great God,
Shall I join your large squad.

Tell me I am good,
Tell me I am nice,
You cover me from rain like a hood,
Your words are always precise.

You protect me day and night,
You whisper in my ear "It is all right".

I know you will never leave,
It is your grace I always retrieve.

You hug me and smile,
You tell me I am worthwhile.

I don't even know how to thank you,
You wake me when the day is anew.

I find sitting by my bedside,
Me and you walk coincide.

As I find you always near,
I know that I shall have no fear.

You push evil away from me,
So that I might always go free.

There is no price that can buy your love,
As we dance together in the heavens above.

You tell me to lay down and rest,
For all my sins have been confessed.

I close my eyes and always think of you,
You never fail to be so true,
To this I bid the world adieu.
