Goddess of Light

Standing upon the precipus.
Looking in to the dark below.
Waiting for a light to shine
To brighten up my soul

Alas, she appeared
Like a goddess of light
Beating back the darkness
Giving one hell of a fight

Her smile while infectious
Was nothing compared to her eyes
A quite calming stare
Like a deep blue ocean lyes.

She scaled my walls
Built up over many years
She saw what was in me
She dried all of my tears

This woman stands guard over my heart
She revels in its flutter
For now when I look at her
There are only 3 words I mutter.
