Godfather Sonnet

How I would love to close my eyes
I ne’er thought you would ever die
Next to your deathbed here I cry
Much time there’s not, don’t dare not try
“I’ll stay forever” why’d you lie
God forsaken, leave you must why?
Lest you drown down, least float up high
Angels will sing, the world will sigh
Godfather, hear my last goodbye
Take your last breath, or can’t you try
Breath needn’t be taken, do not try
Since I’m here, instead I shall sigh
Wait till we join, I too will die
But for now, together we cry

There are a lot of repeat words because unlike a regular sonnet, every line rhymes with all the rest; every line also has the same number of syllables.
