Going Home

Going Home

I am painfully aware
My loved one had to go
The person lying there
Is not the one I know

The body in the casket
An empty vessel nothing more
If only you could ask it
It’s answer “Going Home”

Concealed cities bathed in light
Revealed the moment that you die
An understanding that you are the judge
A celestial vision of complete knowledge

Perception is reality
Please don’t cry
A spirit forgets its divinity
The soul never dies

Regrets of the departed
Loved ones left behind
Not even death can part us
I’m always by your side
