Going This Alone

Disturbed
Deep within
Twisted
Each part of my heart spewing over with emotion

Turned in all different directions
None of which seem to be the right one
But there is no escape

You can't just rip your heart out and keep on breathing
Even though it probably wouldn't make a difference now
Because it feels as though I'm constantly holding my breath anyway

I'm going this alone
There's nobody here anymore that can pull me closer through my pain
It's time to man up and face life
Let it come at me but throw it to the ground

I just need the courage
To bring it to its knees
Without anybody beside me
