Gold Rush

In quiet hours, you pine to hear your heart.
It's unfulfilled, and you feel in the dark.
You have imagined what it must be like.
Until it happens, you'll never feel right.
Your heart yearns for gold.
Where's someone to hold?

A love song describes love, and its shiny.
You close your eyes and pray: Will it find me?
Where two reside inside each other's eyes,
For you, this is brightest up there at night.
Your heart yearns for gold.
Where's someone to hold?

Another strikes gold; you start to lose hope.
You don't really know for sure if you won't
Find someone to hold before you've grown old.
You know how it goes; just say: One day more.

I got the fever; I'm a believer.
Got on that wagon, and now I'm panning.
I pan to find gold; there's someone to hold.
Wish me luck; I'm caught up in this Gold Rush.
