Golden eagle

Brown and gold plumage with
one powerful black hooked beak.
Golden eyes focused gripping
the branch off a mountains peak.
White splashes on its seven
foot wing span and tail.
To take flight mighty talons
leap into action, wings clapping.
A golden eagle soaring the glorious
heavens of creative imagination.
Freedom to bank left, bank right, dive,
hover or glide.
In similar fashion thoughts take
flight inside the poets mind.
Climbing diagnol then vertical into
an aerial acrobatic back flip.
Pilot of infinite potential on all
terrain prepared to land.
Recital ready or onto the
paper under pen in hand.
