Gone

Sadness
A weight, crushing my chest
Emptiness, as they lower your casket
Overwhelming thoughts
Never seeing you again tears at my heart
Breaking into a million pieces
A never ending headache
Memories hurt to be remembered
An old life, bright and new, replaced
By sadness and darkness
Bright blue skies, now black and cloudy
Darkness taking over
A heart breaking, shattering
A mind that will never be the same,
An important piece, torn from me
Taken, suddenly, gone
A mother who cares
Used to nurture her children
A mother who’s gone
Never to come back
Gone into the night
Swallowed by the darkness.
A light, put out by the rain
Of death
