Gone

God I miss your voice
On these lonely cold hard nights,
And sometimes when I'm really lonely
I even miss our fights.
Your absence is stronger
Than your presence ever was.
You were so good
At making me feel unloved.
I loved you with a passion that was strong as fire in hell.
You loved me when I was convenient
Always when something else would fail.
I gave you everything I had
And never expected anything back.
You took and took until I was broke
And still there was something I lacked.
I craved you with a ferocity that overtook my life.
It was a constant hunger
That starved me every night.
You drained the desire right out of me
With your forever changing mind,
And now my soul is lost;
It's anyone's to find.
But still that doesn't stop me.
It never has before.
I still love you with this passion
Even though my heart is tore.

This Poems Story

My name is Dallas and I have a passion for writing. I'm a hopeless romantic at heart and hope to one day publish something even bigger than a 26 line poem. If I never would have loved you, I never would have written this, so thank you.
