Gone Not Forgotten

You pressed these flowers
in the pages for me
lost in those times
of autumn leaves
you taped that picture
on the wall
blank white border
to focus the call
echoing through
the memories
beginning the end
of childhood dreams
a delicate place
from where we stand
the petals grace
needs a steady hand
taken before their time
the roots have dried
kept close to heart and mind
beauty survived
so I will lay them
on top of your stone
for I know your love
will follow me home
