Goodbye

When I was young,
Songs were unsung.
And love was romance.
Life held a chance.

Now years pass by,
And songs, they die.
I thought I was strong,
But I was wrong.

Just standing in the rain
You did not see me cry.
I watched you walk away,
But I’m waiting for goodbye.

You spent those years
Hiding the tears,
And I did not see
That you missed me.

The years pass by,
And love can die.
I begged you to stay,
But pushed away.

Just standing in the rain
I did not see you cry.
I watched you walk away,
I’m still waiting for goodbye.
Just waiting for goodbye.
