Billions of shining stars
Dance across the sky
Weeping silent tears
As I say goodbye

Fire fills the atmosphere
Like flowers being born
The darkness retreats to the shadows
As I begin to mourn

The time has come for the sun to rise
To start a brand new day
The light spreads, it is a roaring fire
Across the grassy field where I lay

"Goodbye, my friend." I sadly sigh
As I watch the retreating moon.
The stars fade from existence
As I whisper,"Come back again, soon."
