I can prepare for anything but those eyes,
they see straight through my soul
past the truth and the lies.
Those eyes have petrified me a number of times,
emptied my mind of words so I can't use my lines.
Just a peek and I'm stunned right down to the core,
why is it so hard to be around the one you adore.
My stomach flutters and my mouth gets dry,
and it gets even worse when she looks me straight in the eyes.
I use to do my best to avoid her gaze,
because the moment we locked eyes I'd fall into a daze.
It's like I'm looking for a way out of this impossible maze,
but to tell the truth I'd rather wander there for hours and days
