Graduation Day

It prepares you for the marathon of life
Or does it?
Countless hours and
endless nights
of trying to remember what you learned from
the past week.
Where you find yourself half a sleep
wanting just five more minutes to shut the mind to dream
of what you want to be.
Back to reality where
random strangers who have expectations
of expecting you to have the mind of the late Einstein.
In theory that as long as you study and take notes
of equations you don’t see on a daily but
go to the mail
and see a bill of the
cost of a tire change because you weren’t taught
how to.
Work that prepares for tests to get you into
schools
that at the end gives you a few words on your resume.
Juggling what's more of a priority;
time giving you an answer.
It's graduation.
