Grandma

As I wait for you to re-enter the room
This chill over comes me.
A cold gust of wind has taken my breath.
The tears that fill my eyes have taken my sight!
As I begin to dry my eyes, this place appears;
I can't believe I'm standing here.
The clouds-above, below and beyond-
Laughter in the distance,
I was overtaken, as then you appeared!
You took my hand in yours, the cold, yet warming touch.
I was left at ease, as if you could read my mind?
"I have traveled a lifetime-almost unbelievable, I know!"
As I began to cry, you had wiped my tears.
"Please don't worry, nor cry for me.
I'm home, and soon shall we all be."
Then you took me in you arms and gently consoled me.
As if a mist, you disappeared.
All became clear, I saw you were at rest.
I love you, Grandma!
