Grandma

Up at the break of dawn, that was her way.
Eager to embrace the events of each day.
No hurry, no fuss, and no time to waste.
Steadfast in her efforts, doing nothing with haste.
She loved the Lord Jesus and served him each day.
Down on her knees earnestly she would pray.
She was my best friend and I will never forget her.
I cherish all the memories we created together.
Everything she did for anyone was done with love.
She shared the love she received from God above.
Everyone called her "grandma", she like that a lot.
For in each person's heart she had a bright spot.
She would bake the most delicious foods ever.
I do believe she was actually quite clever.
I miss having someone that loved me so much.
We talked each day, we never lost touch.
She praised the Lord and served him with song.
Soon after her voice left her God called her home.
Thank you God for the times we had.
The good, the bad, the happy and the sad.
The days since her passing have been quite a few.
We will see her again - I know that's true.
