Grandmas Boy

As I was looking into your eyes that day, I knew you could not stay.
Soon I would have to let you go, to get your wings and fly away.
One day we will meet again, but I'll miss you each day until then.
I don't know where to go from here. All I can do is cry these bitter tears.
I hope you don't forget me. Please meet me at the pearly gate.
What a reunion that will be. I can hardly wait.
Tell my Dad I love him. And give him a hug from me.
I know he's been there waiting for you. So keep him company.
You've been my greatest joy and I'll love you forever. Signed -Grandma's boy.
