Grandma’s Kitchen

By

Lovely scents that filled her home
are parts of memories golden page.

The little pantry filled with love,
never grew old with age.

Smells of cookies, cakes and pies,
drifted through the air.

Homemade goodies, grandma made,
from favorite recipes collected
over the years.

An old fashioned pot of soup,
with a pan of biscuits light as down.

Maybe a stew of vegetables and beef,
or, a roast with gravy hot and brown.

These are the memories that filled
grandma's kitchen, I will never forget.

The taste and smells made with love.
We, her family were truly blessed
