Grandma’s Place

Grills on fire,
The heavenly smell of burning food,
The rich aroma made me restless,
Impatiently I moved to the beautiful night in the woods.
Walking through the tall trees
Lost in the exquisite calmness
Feeling the magical snow fall
One that melted in my hand,
Gushing me with immense happiness
Waves hitting the shore,
The sea in front that was never still
And I jumped into the cold water
Unpleasant salty flavor in my mouth,
And yet I was dripping with joy
I lied down watching the sky
Serene but speaking so loud
Studded with stars
And the imperfect moon
That night was a dream come true
And as the moon faded into the clouds,
I returned to my grandma's house,
The snow fall didn't stop,
The grill was done, the smell familiar.
This place was where I went every summer,
This place was where I wanted to be forever!
