Grandmother

Seeing the light in your eyes slowly fade to dark,
You take one final breath,
And my heart crumbles,
The pain takes over,
And my world goes deaf for a moment,
Yet knowing your in heaven,
Doesn't stop not slow the emptiness from creeping in,
As I begin to weep,
I can feel my soul grow a little darker,
As if apart of me died with you.
Longing for more time,
I kiss your forehead and say goodbye,
To a women that I've loved,
Known forever as my grandmother.
