Greater Than I

I have love for those things Greater then me
Please let those better Creatures hear my lowly pleas
The threads of Death tightens around my neck more each day
Please, I call to Greatness,
loosen my unholy bonds so that I may breath
My lungs burn from these firmly twisted cord
But my heart still pines for your embrace
Please quench my throat with the coolness of your loving breath
I will watch for your grace while I still have time above this soil
