Grendel

There are many stories so far and so wide
About lords and barons from every which side
Who possess the wealth that four generations could thrive
The few that step on the chest of millions of lives
Pity the needy!
Glory be the Gods!
The ones who live in mansions on sunny hill sides
Declaring war on their competitors across the tides
The peasants will fight for nothing more than their pride
Out of the rubble, few did survive
Grendels born with vengeful eyes
Some will live and some may die
When the slaves knock their chains on Hrothgar’s hive
