Greyscale

Why do you wish to keep me,
Only to make me bleed?
If I truly am nothing but an encumbrance,
Then simply let be.

Something you may not understand,
Is that I am simply bland,
You say I make your life opaque,
then lest this be my end.

You cannot say you hate me,
Then claim I light your world
Your greyness disdains me,
For I am a black and white girl.

Once others see me falling,
Then you come to rescue me,
But my faintest wish is to be done with this,
When you only feel antipathy for me.

Either love me or loathe me,
But nothing in between.
I'm either black or white,
And grey is just not me.
It will never be.

Every time you go grey
I crave to evaporate.
