Growing Pains

Growing Pains
Ava Nevarez
As a child you wish you could grow up
As a child you think you can be anything
As a child your hopes are never ending
but you grow up
As a teen you want to be a child again
As a teen your worries envelop you
As a teen you don't know how to cope with your feelings
As a teen you just want to survive
then you look back
To the amazing childhood you had
To the days when playing was the only thing in your schedule
To the days when your responsibility was to look cute in pictures
You remember the nights you spent crying alone
You remember the time you wanted responsibility
You remember when you were just a child
And your only goal was to grow up
