Growing Up

By Amy Yu

Life becomes a blur
Everything learnt and loved a slur
And I stop and remember
From time to time
Of when I was young
And life was forgiving

But moment don’t last
And neither does peace
So we toil
And we fight
For the most insignificant things

Printed on a page
Now mean so much more
Than the warmth of

So we adapt
As humans
We created this
Cruel, cruel world
and now we live in it.
