Grown up

Once in a blue moon I was the Alice
Wandering through the land of lost and found
Of hallucination and manic
Where crazy dreams swashed on the shore...

In my mind I was Lady in red
Hands on waist, skittering in Waltz
My orchestra was the little crickets,
And Barbie as the greatest audience.
Empty eyes but with radiant smile,
She followed every step of mine.
Accompanied by flickering butterflies underneath
I shattered in eternal turns...

Like a mermaid I faded
Into seafoam as the party ended.
Tick tock... Tick tock...
At twelve o'clock,
My glass slipper got lost.
Like the Sleeping Beauty, I was caged
Inside the castle of roses and mistletoe.
But no princes no fairies waited
I woke up as the clock bell rang.
