Guardian

In the air there was bold sweetness and light
A wonderful baby girl was born there.
At that moment a strong bond was born bright
Father and a girl, nothing could compare.
Spending endless days of joy together
Tickles with laughs, milk bottles with bedtime.
Keeping her safe through cold and harsh weathers
The forever that would last a lifetime.
But we failed to see a tear in the cord.
Entering a long battle with cancer,
Slaying left and right with his mighty sword.
Thirteen years in, there was still no answer.
With memories only left in her heart,
She was stronger, smarter, a work of art.
