Guardian Angels

The wings of hope,
look soft as a feather.
The golden halo above our heads,
the trademark of who we are.
Emotions of humans
yet the image of God.
Rhythm in our hearts,
the song of protection.
Our oath to God,
to protect the one he says,
has become our job
until we're dead.
If we fall in love,
they become our angel
that we protect.
Our oath that will break
within God's hand
could make us a fallen.
To fall to Earth
with no return to above.
To lose our wings,
and have our halos shattered,
could be a possibility for falling in love.
But God could be kind
and give us a new oath,
to protect our love with our heart.
To be half human
half angel,
guardian to all,
love to one.
We are Guardian Angels.
