Guide Me Home

I've always noticed how comfortable
the moon looked as it sat beneath
the stars and gazed into your eyes.
That shiny glimmer of light
never left you.
& when the ocean waves caught
your ankles, it didn't break me
to think that mother nature
wanted to taste your skin
as well as I did.
My only hope now is that the
lighthouse guides you
to where I stand.
My body is a shipwreck,
and your light shall
guide me home.
