Gun and Trigger

Where were you
I hoped,I prayed,
I thought you'd come back.
But all that time I spent waiting,
faded when I realized you were gone forever

I'm drowning as I try to catch my breath,
but the pain is too heavy to hold,
and eventually, will crush me if you don't come
and pull it from my soul.

I can't see you.
Your locked behind bars,
chained behind mistakes,
trapped because you pulled the trigger.

Shots were fired
and now it's too late,
because I'm done waiting.
I've moved on.

You've ruined your chance.
You can't move on,
because you destroyed
the one thing that was dear to you...
me, but now I'm gone.
