Half for Me and Half for You

If I had a million big red balloons,
I would put half aside for you,
Then gather the rest and float up to Mars,
Greeting aliens old and new.

If I had a thousand big blue balloons,
I would put half aside for you,
Then gather the rest and fly to the moon,
Touching every star as I flew.

If I had a hundred big orange balloons,
I would put half aside for you,
Then gather the rest and drift to the clouds
To find out how Jack's giant grew.

If I had ten big metallic balloons,
I would put half aside for you,
Then gather the rest and soar to the trees
To get a bird's groovy eye-view.

If I only had one big green balloon,
I would put it aside for you,
Then walk to your house to deliver it,
Because that is what good friends do.
