HALLOWEEN

Spooks and goblins and witches galore,
Tick-or-treaters at everyone's door,
Candy and costumes,
Bags filled to the top,
Children going on nonstop,
Frightful creatures that only appear,
On a night that comes but once a year.
Seething mists and shadowy vapors,
Camoflage little monsters,
And their playful capers,
Cheerful pumpkins,
glowing with jack O'lantern faces,
peer out ---
At black cats,
going through their paces,
On this night of nights,
When mystery abounds,
And childish mayhem reigns supreme,
And happiness is a candy-coated dream,
Oh yes,
It's Halloween.
