Hands

Hands that burped and hands that fed
Hands that tucked us into bed

Hands that clapped and hands that played
Hands that held the gifts we made

Hands that brushed and combed our hair
Hands that loved and hands that care

Hands that stirred and learned to cook
Hands that held a picture book

Hands that threw the ball so far
Hands that learned to drive a car

Hands that cheered and twirled baton
Hands that trimmed and mowed the lawn

Hands that brushed away a tear
Hold our hands Mom, we're still here

Hold my hand and look at me
Hold my hand Mom, I'm still me
