Hanna

I couldn't help but stare
too shy to say hi
when finally given the chance
my mind couldn't find words
too mesmerized by that smile
and your emerald eyes

the days went by and we grew closer
scared to open up before
but with you it felt right
so many butterflies, loved the thrill

never been good with relationships
I was scared to mess up
finally found the courage
after bowling and movie
that bitter cold November night
my lips pressed against yours

I saw a future with you
but i guess you weren't ready
never asked what you wanted
so many regrets tonight
love seems pointless now
the void in my heart grows
can't forget that laugh
or those elegant eyes
