Happily (not) Ever After

Happily ever after is just another lie.
I still will never believe,
Especially after and the pain and judgment I've received,
The Mad Hatter waits eagerly for me
Accompanied by the White Rabbit
And a steaming hot cup of tea.
Wonderland is judgment free.
It is evident that
There is no true love's kiss that woke Sleeping Beauty.
It could've been a string of luck.
And I will never believe
There is a Prince Charming waiting for me,
With flowers in his hands
That he stands ready to sweep me off my feet.
It is simply a fact.

They lied to us when they said Ariel was real.
Research says mermaids are just another myth,
Scientists have all the facts.
I don't believe
Fantasy
Can co-exist with
Reality.
